Papier d'Catford (Paper Incense)

Inspired by a French pharmacy classic, Papier d'Catford is a ten sheet stack of high quality blotting paper soaked in a blend of resins, tinctures and essential oils. It's designed to instantly expel malodours around the home. Simply fold the paper into a concertina shape, place on a fire-proof surface and light one end of the sheet. It will burn slowly, eliminate unwanted smells and leave a welcome perfume.

We use benzoin essential oil, which is renowned for it's cleansing properties but also smells fantastic when combined with the deep, unctuous qualities of Peru balsam and the moreish intrigue of opoponax resin. We layered the resinous base with cold pressed lime, vetiver and frankincense to ensure that the aroma it leaves isn't heavy or too imposing.
