Swig & Weave: Circular Collage Club

We have a very special theme this month – Still Life! What does that have to do with collage? Read on!

To celebrate the summer holidays - and the wonderful things in The Scrap Space - we're making August's session all about Still Life. When you come in, you'll find an artfully arranged assortment of objects on the table. Your task is to recreate it in collage. Maybe you'll focus on one section. Or perhaps simply the colours or shapes. The choice is yours!

The venue: This night takes place at The Circular Space – home of The Scrap Space. Any Swig & Weave regular will know how much we love this community hub. Their aim to bring joy to the community while looking after the planet – something we very much support! You can find them on Ham Road, Shoreham-by-Sea, BN43 6PA (look for the blue sign by the bus stop next to the Police Station).

What to expect: Collaging is super straightforward, giving you the time and space to simply get creative and have fun. The theme is there to give you a creative challenge, and we'll on on hand with ideas if you need them. There'll also be hot drinks and sweet treats for you to enjoy.

What you need to bring: Nothing! We'll supply everything you need, plus you'll have the opportunity to rummage in The Scrap Space. However, feel free to bring along bits and pieces from home if you want to us something specfic.

About your evening's host: This event is hosted by mixed media artist Harriet – a.k.a Papermade by Battenade. Check out her quirky postcard creations on Instagram and in her Esty shop.
