Neighbourhood Store is an independent retail and coffee space celebrating artists, makers and creative businesses. We are passionate about supporting independent creators and connecting our community with meaningful, beautifully made products.

We're looking for an experienced, friendly and reliable person to join our team every Saturday.
This is not an entry-level position. Applicants must have sufficient retail and barista experience to work independently and take responsibility for key holding, cash handling, opening and closing procedures, and health and safety requirements.

What you'll be doing:

• Running the shop independently
• Making and serving speciality coffee
• Delivering exceptional customer service
• Creating a welcoming environment where everyone feels comfortable and valued
• Talking confidently about our artists, makers and products
• Processing sales and handling payments
• Keeping the shop looking its best during busy trading hours

We're looking for someone who:

• Has previous retail experience
• Has barista experience and can confidently work in a busy environment
• Is comfortable taking responsibility and working independently
• Loves art, design, creativity and independent makers
• Enjoys meeting and connecting with people from all walks of life
• Shares our commitment to inclusivity and community
• Can provide references from previous employers
