What began as a small practice of making soap to share with friends and family has, over the past few years, grown into a wider collection of goods. Today, the brand works with skilled artisans across India, bringing together different crafts and materials. Canvas bags are stitched and riveted in Kolkata. Stoneware is fired in kilns in Pune. Every piece reflects the knowledge and skill of the people who make it.

At its core, Skunk is about creating goods with real utility. Objects that serve a clear purpose and are made to be used again and again.

Founder Juhi grew up across India, surrounded by its cultures, crafts, food and ways of making. Working with artisans was always something that stayed with her while moving through other careers, gradually becoming more important over time.

Skunk Goods Trading is the result of that long held idea. A collection shaped by experience, made in collaboration with skilled makers, and designed to become part of everyday life.

We first stocked Skunk a few years ago, and we are really pleased to have it back in the store. The focus on material, function and longevity fits naturally with what we look for, sitting comfortably alongside the creatives we work with and the way we think about creative practice.
