Kate is a self taught painter, illustrator and muralist and her work is reminiscent of a mixture of styles - illustrative folk and naïve impressionism have become an unconscious state in which she experiments with colour palettes and imagery. The bright, complementary and often earthy colours are cut with a striking pink undertone which gives her work that neon glow. Kate began life as an artist back in 2018 as a fine line illustrator, but has now made her mark with both digital art and acryla gouache paintings. A long way from her beginnings, she opts for creating art that brings joy, comfort and nostalgia to the viewer through juicy landscapes, weird looking animals (fish, more often than not) wonky still life and cowboy culture.
